More and more mobile phones offers HD recording and playback. Sony Ericsson Vivaz is one of the latest. The Vivaz offers video recording in 1280 * 720 – 24 fps. And yes, it’s really 24fps – not a dynamic recording rate. From what I have seen – it’s a step up from Samsung Omnia HD.
When [...]

Mackenzie Warren from Gannett
Mackenzie Warren from Gannett, for many know as Mr. Mojo, was a keynote speaker at the conference in Fredrikstad, Norway today. He talked about the changes he made in Fort Meyers News. It will be interesting to see some more samples from every day happenings. Is it a change maker? I’m not convinced about that either.
Even though I love your blog, I’m not certain that the winds of change is blowing towards more mojo. My belief is that we will see more citizen mojos. Some of them will be good, many of them awful, simply chasing stardom. Is still believe that good old fashion digging and quality is the future for media companies. For the newspapers I think that this sort of service is very interesting for the photographer, not so much for reporters.

Good thing you came to that conclusion yourself
About eating the dirt I mean.
One way or the other, technical innovations and altered patterns in people’s behavior on the net changes the way media has to work and live. My thoughts about the changes is that media has to attack, understand the new ways of the net and simply offer the best content for new platforms.
I agree that media still has to dig for stories, because a lot of those stories won’t be discovered and told by others, but I think that a lot of journalist are hung up in the old ways of reporting and communicating with an audience. We have to change like the rest of the society.
